Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 May 2026
By accessing or using the LeadAfrik Public Economics Hub (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Stephen Omukoko Okoth, trading as LeadAfrik, from Nairobi, Kenya. These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Kenya.
2. Free vs paid content
The free portion of the Service (the existing 9 courses, both reference libraries, all tools and models, the blog) is provided as-is, without charge, and without any warranty as to fitness for a particular purpose.
Paid content (the AI course, skills tests, the AI tutor) is accessed via an access code with a defined duration and scope. The code starts its clock at first redemption.
3. Access codes
- An access code, once redeemed, is bound to the redeeming account and cannot be transferred
- Each code allows a maximum of three simultaneous active devices. A fourth device sign-in evicts the longest-idle existing session
- Sharing your code or login credentials with people outside your household is grounds for revocation without refund
- We may revoke any code for breach of these Terms; the Privacy Policy still applies to the data we hold
4. Certificates
Certificates are issued for assessments passed at the published pass mark. Certificates are signed “Stephen Omukoko Okoth, Program Director” and carry a public verification URL. We may revoke a certificate that was obtained fraudulently (using a stolen code, cheating on the assessment, identity misrepresentation) and the verification URL will reflect the revocation.
A certificate from LeadAfrik attests to performance on the specific assessment named. It is not a degree, professional licence, or regulator-issued credential, and should not be represented as such.
5. AI tutor
The AI tutor uses a third-party large language model (Google Gemini). Its outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Do not rely on the tutor for advice on regulated matters (legal, medical, financial, tax). For analytical work, verify any specific claim against a primary source before acting on it.
We rate-limit tutor usage. Excessive automated requests may result in temporary suspension of tutor access.
6. Acceptable use
You will not:
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or violate the rights of others
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or use bulk-automated tools to extract content beyond normal browsing
- Resell, sublicense, or republish course content or test items without our written permission
- Use the Service to develop a competing product (including by training an AI model on the content)
- Attempt to bypass the access-code system, the device limit, or any other security measure
7. Payments and refunds
Payments are handled per the instructions we send when you request access. Refunds are available within 7 days of redemption only if you have completed less than 25% of your purchased content. After that, no refunds (because the content has been delivered).
8. Intellectual property
All course content, test items, articles, and branding are the property of LeadAfrik / Stephen Omukoko Okoth, except where otherwise attributed. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and study the content for the duration of your access.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LeadAfrik will not be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
