Good to know
Is this a legally valid signature?
It's a simple electronic signature with a consent step and a tamper-evident audit trail (who signed, when, from which IP, plus a document hash). Electronic signatures are recognised for most business documents under Kenya's KICA and the Business Laws (Amendment) Act. It does not replace notarisation or witnessing where the law specifically requires it — for example land transfers, affidavits and wills.
Do signers need an account?
No. Each signer gets a private link by email, opens the document, and signs in their browser. Nothing to install, no sign-up.
How much does it cost?
KES 200 per document in Kenya, paid once via M-Pesa. It's free for senders outside Kenya.
How long do you keep my document?
Thirty days. After that, the document and its signatures are permanently deleted from LeadAfrik. Download and keep your own copy of the completed file.
Can more than one person sign?
Yes. Add as many signers as you need — everyone can sign in any order, and the document completes once the last person has signed.
This is a simple electronic signature tool, not legal advice. For documents the law requires to be witnessed or notarised, use a Commissioner for Oaths or advocate.
