Mzazi Child Life Planner (Excel) — organize your child's school, health, faith & birthdays

Every parent carries a hundred small facts about each child — the blood group, the class teacher's number, when fees are due, what size they wear, the memory verse for Sunday, the match on Saturday. Mzazi puts them all in one calm, private workbook, one tab per area of your child's life, so nothing lives only in your head. It is the spreadsheet companion to the free Mzazi app.

What's inside

  • One tab per area — education, faith, health, exercise, birthday & gifts, milestones
  • Child Profile with age and details computed and kept in one place
  • Dated lists with status dropdowns — sort to see what's coming up
  • Yellow inputs, example rows to type over — nothing to set up
  • Opens in Excel or Google Sheets; copy once per child
  • Private: stays on your device. Pairs with the free Mzazi app and Chanjo tracker

The tabs

  • Start Here (guide)
  • Child Profile
  • Education
  • Faith
  • Health
  • Exercise
  • Birthday & Gifts
  • Milestones
  • Notes

Yellow cells only. You type in the yellow cells; the rest are locked formulas. Gridlines are off and it prints clean on A4.

Start on the Child Profile tab — name, date of birth (the age works itself out), school, health basics and key contacts. Then each tab is a simple, dated list: exams and fees on Education; verses and dedications on Faith; appointments and medications on Health; training and matches on Exercise; gift ideas and party plans on Birthday & Gifts; the firsts worth keeping on Milestones.

Yellow cells are yours to type in; grey rows are examples you type over or delete. Sort any tab by its Date column to see what is coming up next. There are dropdowns for status so a glance tells you what is still to do.

It is completely private — the file lives on your device, and you can copy it once per child. Prefer an app you open like any other on your phone? The free Mzazi app installs to your home screen and does the countdowns for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the Mzazi app?

It is the spreadsheet companion. The free Mzazi app installs to your phone and does the birthday and check-up countdowns automatically; this workbook is for parents who prefer a spreadsheet they own and can print. Use either or both.

Can I use it for more than one child?

Yes. Fill the Child Profile tab for one child, then save a copy of the file for each child. Everything is organized per area, so each child's copy stays clean.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets to use it free on your phone, or open it in Excel on a computer. No macros, so it runs anywhere.
