How KUCCPS placement works

  • KUCCPS places KCSE candidates into universities and colleges. Portal: students.kuccps.net (info at kuccps.net).
  • Degree placement generally needs a mean grade of C+ with programme-specific cluster subject requirements. Diploma, Craft/Artisan and TVET accept lower grades.
  • Cluster points: competitive degree courses are placed by cluster points (from your four cluster subjects), compared against previous cutoffs, not a fixed pass mark.

How to apply

  1. 1Apply online with your KCSE index number and password, and select programme choices within the allowed number per level.
  2. 2Use the revision windows to change or reorder choices if your first picks are above your cluster points (TVET applications often stay open on a rolling basis).
  3. 3After the window closes, check your placement result and report to the placed institution.
