A Rates tab holds the common resident WHT rates (professional and management fees, contractual, commercial rent, royalties, dividends, interest, commission) — editable, because rates change and cases differ. On the log, pick the payment type and enter the gross; the rate is looked up, the WHT and net are computed, and you mark whether you've issued the KRA certificate. The Dashboard totals what you owe KRA and counts the certificates still outstanding, with a red flag on any you haven't issued.

What are the withholding tax rates in Kenya?

They vary by payment type and the payee's residency — for example professional and management fees to residents are commonly 5%, contractual fees 3%, and commercial rent 10%. The template pre-loads common resident rates and lets you edit them; always confirm the current figure at kra.go.ke.

Does it track the WHT certificates I owe suppliers?

Yes. Mark each payment's certificate as issued (Yes) or not (No). The dashboard counts and red-flags the certificates you still owe, so none is forgotten.

How much do I remit to KRA?

The total WHT withheld across all your payments is what you remit — the dashboard totals it for you, broken down by payment type.
