Free Poultry Farm Manager (Excel) — flocks, eggs, feed & mortality

Poultry is a game of small margins, and the farmer who doesn't count mortality and feed is the one who can't say why the profit vanished. This free manager counts them for you: register each flock, log the day's eggs, deaths and feed, and the numbers that matter appear.

The tabs

  • Start Here (guide)
  • Flocks
  • Daily
  • Dashboard

Yellow cells only. You type in the yellow cells; the rest are locked formulas. Gridlines are off and it prints clean on A4.

Register each batch on the Flocks tab — type, breed, date placed and how many birds — and deaths, birds sold and birds remaining roll up on their own. Each day, log a line per flock on the Daily tab: eggs collected, deaths, birds sold, feed used and its cost. That's the whole routine.

The Dashboard shows your mortality % (deaths as a share of birds placed — watch it climb), eggs today and this month, and what feed is costing you. Set today's date to keep 'today' and 'this month' correct. Yellow cells for typing; every total is a locked formula. Opens in Excel or Google Sheets — update it from the coop on your phone.

Frequently asked questions

How is mortality % worked out?

It's total deaths as a share of all birds ever placed. If it climbs week on week, check feed, water, warmth and disease early — in poultry, losses compound fast.

Does it work for both layers and broilers?

Yes. Set each flock's type (layer, broiler, kienyeji). Layers' value shows in eggs; broilers' in birds sold — both are tracked.

Will it run in Google Sheets?

Yes — upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets.
