Write an International CV (Not a Kenyan One) — 2026
The pain: Your Kenyan CV (photo, ID, marital status, 4 pages) gets you screened out — or flagged — abroad.
The outcome: A clean, achievements-led, ATS-friendly international CV tuned to the destination.
Different regions want different things. Canada/UK/US: no photo, no personal data, 1–2 pages, achievements-led. Gulf: photo + nationality + visa status expected.

Questions people ask
Should I put a photo on my CV for jobs abroad?
For Canada, the UK and the US, never include a photo or personal data. Some EU and Gulf roles do expect a photo, and Gulf CVs also expect your nationality and visa status.
How long should an international CV be?
One to two pages, unlike a typical Kenyan CV of three to five pages. Lead with achievements and metrics instead of listing duties.
Should I include my age, ID and marital status on an international CV?
No, omit all personal data such as age, date of birth, ID and marital status. Never fabricate anything either, because degrees and references are verified.
