Free Delivery & Dispatch Log (Excel, KES): track drivers, vehicles and deliveries

For a distributor, every order that leaves the yard is money on wheels, and a delivery that quietly fails is a customer lost. This free dispatch log keeps track of them all: log each order out with its driver, vehicle and status, mark it delivered with proof of delivery, and the undelivered orders and each driver's and vehicle's performance are laid out for you.

  1. Download the file above.
  2. Open Google Drive, then New → File upload and choose the file.
  3. Right-click it in Drive → Open with → Google Sheets. It becomes a fully editable Google Sheet — every formula and tab intact — and works on your phone too.

The .xlsx format opens free in Google Sheets, LibreOffice, or Excel for the web — no paid software required.

On Dispatch Log, log each order with its date, number, customer, driver, vehicle, dispatch time and status (Dispatched, Delivered, Failed or Returned), then fill the delivery date and mark POD, proof of delivery, when the driver reports back. Drivers & Vehicles holds your lists and counts dispatches and deliveries for each, and Undelivered lists every order not delivered, oldest first, so you can chase them.

The Summary counts the lot and shows your delivery rate. Yellow cells are your only inputs. The premium version adds a dashboard with delivery, on-time and POD rates and deliveries by driver, a driver-performance analysis, and a printable A4 dispatch sheet for a chosen day with a signature line. Frequently asked questions

Is the basic version free?

Yes. The basic dispatch log is free to download and keep. The premium upgrade, with a dashboard, a driver-performance analysis and a printable dispatch sheet, is an optional KES 500.

How does it catch failed deliveries?

Any order whose status is set but not Delivered appears on the Undelivered tab, oldest first, and failed or returned orders are flagged red on the log, so nothing slips through unchased.

Can I measure how my drivers perform?

The free version counts dispatches and deliveries per driver and vehicle. The premium analysis ranks driver performance and the dashboard shows delivery, on-time and proof-of-delivery rates as bars.
