Free Stock Reorder Calculator (Excel, KES): reorder points and quantities

Ordering too late means empty shelves and lost sales, ordering too early ties up cash you need elsewhere. This free reorder calculator finds the line: enter your current stock, average daily sales, minimum level and supplier lead time, and it works out your days of cover, your projected stock when the order would land, and an automatic REORDER NOW flag the moment a line will drop below its safety floor.

On Reorder Calculator, list each product with its supplier, unit cost, current stock, minimum (reorder) level, a target level to fill up to, average daily sales and the supplier lead time in days. It computes the demand over the lead time, your projected stock at lead-time end, days of cover, and a reorder quantity that brings you back up to your target.

When projected stock falls below your minimum the Action column flags REORDER NOW in red, and the Summary counts how many lines to order and the total order value in KES. Yellow cells are your only inputs. The premium version adds a dashboard, a supplier analysis and a printable A4 purchase list grouped by supplier, ready to send. Opens in Excel, WPS or Google Sheets.

Frequently asked questions

Is the basic version free?

Yes. The basic reorder calculator is free to download and keep. The premium upgrade, with a dashboard, a supplier analysis and a printable purchase list grouped by supplier, is an optional KES 500.

How does it decide when to reorder?

It projects your stock forward over the supplier lead time using your average daily sales. If that projected stock falls below your minimum level, the line is flagged REORDER NOW in red and a reorder quantity up to your target level is worked out.

What if I do not know my exact daily sales?

Use a fair estimate to start, for example a week of sales divided by seven. As you refine the figure the days of cover and reorder quantities update on their own, so you can tune it over time.
