The rate sits on one editable, dated Rates tab — 2.75% and the KES 300 minimum — linked to the Social Health Authority as the source. Nothing is hard-coded into a formula, so if the law moves the rate you change one cell and the whole workbook follows. That is the honest way to keep a statutory template accurate.
The Calculator tab handles one salary and shows the effective rate and your take-home after SHA. The Team tab does a whole payroll — one row per employee — and totals what you remit to the SHA each month and each year. SHA is only one of the statutory deductions, so when you need full net pay (PAYE, NSSF and the Housing Levy too) the Kenya Payroll & PAYE template carries the lot.
